M DOT BRANDO
M Dot Brando, truly gifted and blessed with a talent for music; has remained as one of San Francisco’s best kept secret. Outspoken and direct with his lyrics, his steelo captures the urban streets of San Francisco and has always remained true to his rap style with the on going changes of the music industry. Growing up on the streets of the Bay View district, M Dot Brando has faced many challenges on his journey to one day becoming the face and voice for the city by the Bay. Artistically, M Dot Brando turned to his pad and pen to express the fast pace “here for today and gone tomorrow” inner city life style that the streets of San Francisco offer. Before becoming a solo artist in 2008, M Dot Brando was 1/3 of the rap group “Triple X Playaz”. His provocative rhymes delivered the needs of the people and his 2009 release “Bama 2 Da Bay” clearly put him on the map as one of the Bay Area’s most prominent, soon to be heavy weight artists. M Dot Brando’s 2010 release “Pick Your Poison” (collaboration album) caught many non-believers off guard with his potency of word play. Displaying lyrical creativeness and a strong presence on his 2011 release "On My Way", M Dot has made the project his best selling album to date. M Dot Brando is currently working on his next project "The A Side", a loungy and rap/r&b-ish style EP which displays growth and innovation as a well rounded soloist. He is locked in The Beat Cellar with Jay Stilla, creating, engineering, writing and working hard to bring the best of both worlds: rap and r&b.
JAY STILLA
With a passion for creation, Jay Stilla knows no limit when it comes to music production imagination. With his "gatta get it right" motto, Jay Stilla has become the perfect C.E.O., record producer and manager for his company "The Beat Cellar". Growing up in a music-oriented household rooted his love for
music making his evolution into the music industry natural and entering it with the
experience and ear for classic music he was raised on. Since 1994, Jay Stilla has had his hand
in production and has continued to be a student of music. From the beginning, his goal has been
to create timeless music and quality projects as a record producer and composer. In 2003, his vision for The Beat Cellar took form as he
began to produce a broader array of music, produce scores for commercials and film projects, manage and coordinate numerous full length albums/mixtapes and oversee on-line marketing
and promotions for his business and artists “Triple X Playaz”. In the fall of 2007, he and rap group
member “M Dot Brando” chose to pursue other endeavors; developing M Dot Brando as a solo artist, establishing The Beat Cellar's presence in the industry and opening up the doors to The Beat Cellar for other independent
artist looking for quality recording and music production.
